Custer County Jail Roster Records
The official Custer County Jail inmate search is the main source for current Custer County inmate records. The sheriff's site says the search shows in-custody inmates, booking dates, charges, and additional information. The page metadata says the roster is updated hourly, and the booking cards are sorted by date booked, with newest bookings first. On June 25, 2026, the live count endpoint returned 119 current in-custody records.
Those records are jail records, not full court files. The Custer County roster covers people currently held at Custer County Jail in Arapaho, including pretrial detainees, local sentenced misdemeanants, municipal arrestees after county booking, and people awaiting transfer or release. It does not serve as an ODOC prison locator, BOP federal locator, ICE detainee locator, or complete archive of released inmates. When the roster fails, the sheriff page itself points to Oklahoma VINE for release or transfer checks.
Use Custer County Inmate Roster
The Custer County inmate roster has one visible name search field and paginated booking cards. It does not publish separate filters for date of birth, first name, last name, facility, bond status, charge class, court date, or arresting agency. Start broad, then open the profile for the person who matches the booking date, name, and charge summary.
- Open the sheriff's current Custer County Jail inmate search.
- Scan the newest booking cards if the arrest happened recently or the spelling is uncertain.
- Type a name into the "Search by Name..." field to filter current custody records.
- Use First, Previous, numbered pages, Next, and Last if browsing all inmates.
- Open the inmate card or profile link to view the booking ID, inmate ID, photo, booking date, demographics, and charges.
- If the person is missing, check VINE or call the jail because the roster may be updating or the person may have been released or transferred.
Custer County Roster Search Fields
The search-field table in the research shows why a Custer County inmate lookup can be fast for current custody but limited for older or complex records. The page accepts a name filter, and the API accepts a filter value. A test search in the research returned a matching record for a surname, but the sheriff site did not publish wildcard rules, minimum search length, or last-name-only instructions.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Options or Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Search by Name... | Text input | Optional | Filters current roster records; no separate date-of-birth or booking-number search was published. |
| Pagination controls | Links/buttons | Optional | First, Previous, page numbers, Next, and Last; 25 records per page observed. |
| View Details | Profile link | Optional | Each booking card links to an inmate profile by BookingID. |
| Search VINE Link Now | External button | Optional | Appears in no-results area for release or transfer checks. |
Custer County Inmate Profile Fields
A Custer County inmate profile gives a useful snapshot of the jail booking, but it leaves several common questions unanswered. The inspected sample profile showed a mugshot area, sex, race, ethnicity field, calculated age, city of residence if present, inmate ID, booking date and time, and charges. The public page did not show bond amount, court date, case number, arresting agency, statute code, charge level, housing unit, or release date.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| BookingID / BookingNum | Numeric booking identifier used in the public profile URL and API. |
| InmateID | Person or custody identifier used by the Custer roster and VINE button. |
| BookingDate | Date and time the person was booked into Custer County Jail. |
| Name | First, middle, last, and full-name fields used for card and profile display. |
| Mugshot | Booking photo when the Pic field has a filename; otherwise a no-image placeholder can appear. |
| Sex, race, ethnicity, age | Basic demographic fields; race codes are expanded on the profile and ethnicity may be blank. |
| City / state | Residence or location fields when present; street address was blank in inspected records. |
| Charges | Charge names entered for the current booking; inspected records did not show statute codes. |
Custer County Bond Housing Gaps
Several fields that people often expect in inmate records were not displayed on the inspected Custer County public profile. Bond was not shown. Housing location was not shown. Court date and case number were not shown. Arresting agency was not shown. The API includes a classification field, but inspected current records returned it blank. Those gaps do not mean the jail or court lacks the information. They mean the public web profile is a limited current-custody display.
For bond, call the jail at (580) 323-1616 and check the court record after a case is filed. The Custer County Court Clerk, Staci Hunter, is listed at PO Box D, Arapaho, OK 73620, phone 580.323.3233, fax 580.331.1121, email staci.hunter@oscn.net, with office hours 8:00-4:00 open noon. Bond orders, minute entries, and charging documents may appear in OSCN or ODCR after the prosecutor files the case.
Note: A Custer County roster charge is a booking label. Court-filed charges can change after prosecutor review.
Custer County Booking Records Process
Custer County does not publish a detailed booking manual, so the local process is best described from the roster fields, jail standards, and sheriff service pages. A person arrested by the sheriff's office, municipal police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, or another agency may be transported to Custer County Jail. Intake then creates the jail record through identification, property handling, medical and security screening, photo capture, charge entry, booking number assignment, and public roster publication if the person remains in custody.
Oklahoma jail standards require a logbook or computer record for all inmates admitted to the facility. Required fields include inmate name, admission and release date and time, offense charges, arrest number, date of birth, race, and gender. Some of those data points are public on the roster. Others may exist in jail records but not appear on the web profile. Same-day arrests may be between transport, booking, and the hourly public update.
Custer County Jail Contact Card
The Custer County inmate records access chain often ends with direct jail contact. The sheriff site, county-government page, and jail service pages consistently list the jail and sheriff's office at the same Arapaho address. Use the office phone for current custody checks, public-records request routing, visitation questions, commissary questions, and whether another hold or transfer affects release.

Custer County Inmate Mail Money
The official inmate mail policy requires full sender and recipient names and addresses. Mail should use the Custer County Jail address with the inmate's name. Envelopes must be #10 or smaller, postage may not exceed $0.50, and the jail bars decorated mail, stickers, perfume, lipstick, greeting cards, printed photo collages, blank paper, stamps, staples, paper clips, laminated plastic, unauthorized inmate-to-inmate mail, and photos larger than 4x6.
Commissary and deposits use JailATM/Prodigy. The official commissary page says funds may be added 24/7 at the sheriff office lobby kiosk. If the door is locked before 8 AM, after 4 PM, or on a weekend, visitors can push the button to be let into the lobby for the kiosk. Online credit-card deposits are available. Money orders may be mailed to the inmate at PO Box 40. Reception does not accept mail or money orders, and inmates cannot release or transfer funds.

Custer County State Federal ICE Records
When a person leaves Custer County Jail for state prison, the search moves to the Oklahoma Offender Lookup. ODOC's public materials say the lookup can include searches by appearance, facility, sentence, conviction date, court, CRF number, term codes, statute, and statute codes, but its disclaimer warns that the information is abbreviated and not an exact sentence explanation.
Federal and immigration records are separate. The BOP locator searches federal inmates by number or name and covers BOP custody from 1982 to the present. The ICE detainee locator is the immigration custody search tool. Custer County is in the Western District of Oklahoma for U.S. Marshals purposes, but federal pretrial detainee status may not appear in a public county roster or BOP locator until custody changes.
| Need | Access Channel | Important Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Current county jail custody | Custer County Jail roster or jail phone line | Current in-custody only. |
| Release or transfer notice | Oklahoma VINE | Notification service, not a full jail record. |
| Sentenced state prisoner | ODOC Offender Lookup | State prison custody, not county jail booking. |
| Federal prisoner | BOP Inmate Locator | No public mugshots in the locator template. |
| Immigration detainee | ICE ODLS | Requires JavaScript and covers ICE custody only. |
Request Older Custer County Inmate Records
No Custer County sheriff-specific online open-records form was located. For older booking records, jail registers, booking photos not on the roster, or incident and offense reports, use the sheriff's office contact channels. A request should identify the person, approximate booking date, record type, booking ID or inmate ID if known, and a return contact method. Ask whether fees apply and whether inspection, paper copy, fax, or electronic delivery is available because the sheriff's site did not publish a local fee schedule or turnaround time.
Oklahoma's Open Records Act and 51 O.S. 24A.8 support inspection of certain law-enforcement records if kept, including arrestee descriptions, facts about arrests, and jail registers. Some records may still be withheld or redacted under confidentiality rules. Court records after prosecution begins should be requested from the Custer County Court Clerk or searched in OSCN and ODCR, not from the jail roster.
